On the DepEd’s late decision to call off classes
Kid at Shangri-La, EDSA
There’s this kid who was playing at the edge of the revolving doors. He didn’t realize that he leaned on and pressed the emergency stop button. When people began looking (perhaps glaring) at him he shouted “I didn’t do anything!” When I got near him, I looked him in the eye and pointed at the red button inches from his forearm.

Intermittent connection. (I think we never had a day with 100% connection). My favorite excuse: “We’ll monitor your connection for 24 hours and call you back.” Of course we never heard from them.
Chowking, Malate
Advanced order taker did not know there was no Coke. So main order taker was surprised to see Coke order. AOT should have checked what’s in stock beforehand to not inconvenience the MOT and the customer.
There’s also this table for two set right beside the door to the men’s room and right beside the wash area. Who could eat on that table?

Great service from the alert and friendly staff. It’s also impressive how a bottomless iced tea gets refilled fast.
Dencio's (near CCP)
We ate lunch here. Service was ok but the music was a bit loud. I’m assuming the staff is free to choose what music they’d want to play.
I also stumbled upon this blog entry about Dencio’s posted last January.
McDonald's Taft
This is the 24 hour store at the corner of Taft and Pedro Gil.
Slow service. (9:45 AM, Saturday)
It took 15 minutes for a Sausage McMuffin with Egg to arrive. I also saw someone whose Pancake meal took about 10 minutes to be served.

I’m wondering what’s the average wait time for you to be served? I attempted to buy medicine but the ladies behind the counter don’t actively talk to the customers. They seem to just wait for the prescriptions to be shoved in front of their faces. (That and whoever, shouts at them the loudest).

Kudos to the staff! We left something and came back for it a few hours later. Our stuff was kept safe behind the counter. I bought three coffees to go and left a tip to show my appreciation.
